Amal Jyothi College of Engineering (Autonomous) Founded in 2001 by
the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally. Amal Jyothi is approved by the AICTE and affiliated to
APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), Kerala. It is the first new generation
engineering college in Kerala with the prestigious NBA accredited departments and the first
engineering college in Kerala with the recognition of 'A' grade from NAAC.
The main features of the College comprise world-class infrastructure, top-flight faculty, high
pass percentage, excellent placement record, unique student projects, first-rate innovation &
entrepreneurship ventures and a flourishing Start-ups Valley on the campus.
Alumni Association Amal Jyothi (AAAJ) UAE Chapter started in 2023 with a strength of over 250
members and their families. AAAJ focus on Promoting a strong relationship between the alumni and
the college along with providing potential mentorship and career opportunities within UAE. This
will support a network of former graduates who will, in turn, help to raise the profile of the
AJCE.
Baselius College, Kottayam was established in 1964 and has since
grown into a prominent center of higher learning in Central
Kerala. Over its six decades of distinguished service, the college
has produced eminent academicians, administrators, politicians,
artists, and sports personalities.
Today, the college offers 11 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate
programs, along with research opportunities leading to a PhD in
English, Physics, and Chemistry.
Baselian – UAE Chapter, the alumni association of Baselius College
in the United Arab Emirates, is a founding member of AKCAF. It
remains dedicated to upholding the legacy of academic excellence
and community service. Notably, the chapter successfully hosted
the AKCAF Onam celebration in 2004 and continues to contribute
meaningfully to the alumni and wider community
Bishop Abraham Memorial College (BAM College) is an aided college
affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Founded over five decades ago at
Thuruthicad near the town of Mallappally, Pathanamthitta with a vision to provide quality
education, it has stood tall as a beacon of knowledge, enlightenment, and service to the
community. Named after the revered Bishop Abraham Mar Thoma Metropolitan, who believed life was
to wear out rather than rust out, the institution upholds these ideas. The college offers 13
academic programs, including 1 PhD program, 4 PG programs, and 8 UG programs.
The heart and soul of BAM College lie in its vast and illustrious alumni network, who have
excelled in diverse fields, including academia, business, arts, politics, and social work. The
UAE chapter of Alumni Association was established in 2003 and is an active participant of all
AKCAF programs.
College of Engineering, Kidangoor (CEK) was established in the
academic year 2000–01 and is a prominent technical institution in Kottayam district. Governed by
CAPE, an initiative of the Government of Kerala, the college is approved by AICTE. Initially,
CEK was affiliated with Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), a recognition
accorded by CUSAT. Subsequently, the college transitioned its affiliation to APJ Abdul Kalam
Technological University
Its picturesque 25.6-acre campus provides modern laboratories, workshops, centralized computing
facilities, a well-equipped library, language laboratory, hostels and student amenities. CEK
offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in major engineering disciplines education.
Select programmes have received NBA accreditation. Through practical training, technical
projects, research, industry interaction and professional bodies including IEEE, CEK develops
competent engineers with strong technical knowledge, ethical values and a commitment to lifelong
learning, innovation and social responsibility for a rapidly evolving world.
Kuriakose Elias (KE) College, Mannanam is named after Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the Co-founder of the Congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). His glorious vision of moulding the new generation through education deeply rooted in the faith in God and love of humanity. The Congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), one of the leading educational agencies in India, believes that education is the main spring of integral formation of the human person for the fulfillment of his/ her individual and social responsibilities. KE College was established in 1964 as a junior college and was affiliated to Kerala University and upgraded as a degree college in 1967. KE College UAE Alumni chapter formed in 2019 and now it is strengthened with 60+ members. Later it joined AKCAF and doing their best efforts to the KE College community in UAE.
Mangalam College of Engineering, situated in Ettumanoor, Kerala, offers an array of engineering branches including Mechanical, Civil, Computer, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, and Chemical Engineering. Fostering innovation and academic excellence, the institution moulds future engineers through industry-aligned courses. In collaboration with AKCAF Association, UAE, the college has created a thriving network of over 200 alumni members in UAE. Led by President Mr. Shahariyal Shamsudeen and Secretary Mr. Sandeep Nag M, the association fosters connections, celebrates achievements, and builds a community of excellence. The association offers a plethora of opportunities for professional growth and personal connections. Online platforms and social media groups ensure that all members remain connected. Annual gatherings celebrate the success of members and strengthen the bonds that began on campus. This is a thriving community that emphasizes the values that Mangalam instils in its students.
N S S Hindu College Changanacherry, founded in 1947 by Bharatha Kesari Sree Mannathu Padmanabhan is one of the largest and oldest institutions of higher education in Kerala. Affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, the College was formally inaugurated by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the then Vice President of India. The campus is housed on the extensive piece of land adjoining to the NSS headquarters in Perunna, Changanacherry. Accredited with A grade by the NAAC, the College offers 14 UG courses, 11 PG courses and 3 add-on courses along with 3 approved research centres for Zoology, Malayalam and Hindi. The college has got an Alumni Association with members in different parts of India and abroad. The UAE chapter of College Alumni was established in the year 1990. It is one of the most dynamic Alumni Associations in UAE and a very active member of AKCAF. Many of its members were the founders and the former presidents of AKCAF.
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), named in honor of the late Prime Minister Sri Rajiv Gandhi, was established by the Government of Kerala in 1991. Nestled in the beautiful hillock landscape of Pampady and encompassing over 90 acres, RIT over the years has developed extensive infrastructure and assembled a dedicated faculty, propelling it to a prominent position among Kerala’s technical institutions. RIT was founded with the vision of creating a hub for advanced postgraduate and research studies. Affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, RIT stands as a bastion of technology, dedicated to delivering toptier education to talented students from diverse backgrounds. St. Stephen’s College, the pride of Uzhavoor, was established in
1964 by His Excellency Rev. Dr. Thomas Tharayil, Bishop of Kottayam. Sri. Joseph Chazhikadan
ex-MLA and Rev. Fr. Peter Uralil, the first Principal, were the guiding forces behind this noble
endeavour. The NAAC granted the College an A+ Grade in 2022. Starting as a Junior College with
pre degree courses, the College was upgraded to the degree level in 1968.
Based in Sri K.R. Narayanan’s birth place, the college has housed notable personalities like
Dronacharya Prof. Sunny Thomas, former National Shooting Coach and HOD of the English
Department, Politician Uzhavoor Vijayan, Ex MLA Stephen George, Kottayam M.P. Thomas
Chazhikadan, and actor Lalu Alex. Stephanos – UAE, an alumni organization with fond college
memories, represents St Stephen’s in the UAE. Stephanos celebrated its 21st anniversary of
formation on May 3rd, 2023.

of the UAE sun, they reunite as STAC PALA (St. Thomas
and Alphonsa College) — a shared home for memories,
friendships, and futures.

legacies, standing together — hand in hand, bridging time,
